Event Center Information

The Alton Green Memorial Event Center was primarily built to support our community with a major focus on Veterans.  That being said, it is an ideal place for any event,  to meet your needs.   Our staff will focus on helping you fulfill the objectives of your event that you host.  Our dedicated American Legion staff will provide personalized service to create a stress-free experience for you and your guests. We are an experienced team and committed to excellent service before, during and after your event is over.

 

We asked that all reservations be made at least ten (10) business days in advance.  Unfortunately, we cannot schedule events more than 90 days ahead of time.  All events will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis. 

 

There will be no rentals scheduled neither during recognized holidays, special occasions (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Veteran’s Day, etc.), nor on any Saturday without prior approval of the Post Executive Committee.  Our Adjutant will be aware of scheduled events and work to accommodate your requests.

 

Please  plan to conclude your activities by 1:00 am and the facility cleared of party items, equipment and people by 1:30 am.  

Alcohol & Other Beverages

Alton Green Memorial Post 194 will offer alcohol and beverage service and bartender during the event.  Due to regulations governing our post, Renters are not allowed to bring alcoholic or other beverages into the Post.  The Renter specifically agrees that no underage persons located on the premises during the rental period will be allowed to possess or consume any alcoholic beverages.  Florida State Law states: Persons under the age of twenty-one (21) are not permitted to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages.

Facilities

Alton Green Memorial Post 194 does not provide full cooking facilities in its kitchen.  The available facilities are designed to support events on a limited basis to heat or refrigerate food items.  The Post offers the following at no additional costs:

  • Stove

  • Refrigerator 

  • Microwave

  • Sinks

  • Warmer

Rental Fees

Come see us and our staff will provide detailed explanation and additional contract information.

  • Business, Industry, Commercial & Individuals - ($300.00)

  • Deposit – Business, Industry, Commercial & Individuals (Refundable if Building is not damaged) – ($100.00)

  • Clean up fee (Fee to be paid to Alton Green Memorial Post 194 – refundable if Renter Cleans up) – ($50.00)

  • Members of the American Legion Family will be eligible for discounts – contact us for prices.

  • Prices on this page are subject to change. 

 

Event Decorations & Setup 

Renters will be allowed to decorate and reconfigure the tables in the Event Center to meet their requirements.  The Post staff will be available to assist as needed.  There is no additional charge for usage of tables and chairs.  Equipment needs must be listed on the rental agreement to be sure enough is available.  The Renter must supply all other supplies and equipment.

 

Certain decorations can be installed after securing approval.   We prohibit driving of nails, tacks, or other metal articles into walls, or the posting of papers, signs and like or otherwise marring the property.   Push pins, thumbtacks, and masking tape are permitted but must be removed at the conclusion of the event.
